Audition Information
Play Description:
Our story follows the life of our heroine Aliza, as we see anecdotes from her life unfold on stage. Through her life journey she discovers a deeper connection to the Tehillim and learns to tap into her full potential. These moments from her life are paralleled to stories from the life of Dovid Hamelech, as the audience watches how his story inspires the very same Tehillim.

Notes for Auditioners:
Actresses/ Singers - Please prepare a musical theater song, 1-2 minutes in length- not longer - IN ENGLISH that will best showcase what you can do. If you play an instrument - bring it with you and be prepared with a short (1-minute) piece, in addition to your song.
Dancers - Please prepare a one-minute piece that best showcases what you can do. Instrumental music only.
Comedic Auditioners - please audition with whatever will best show us what you do.
New to the World of Theater? - pick a song you know well and can sing comfortably in front of an audience. Even if you don’t think you can sing.

The Audition Process:
Auditions - Every auditioner will get the chance to perform the piece they prepared for the audition panel. This is for both dance and singing. Some people will be asked to stay and read lines for a specific character. Not being asked to stay does not mean you have not gotten a part. It just means we don’t need to see more or will be asking you to return on another night.

Character Callbacks - These will take place on a separate night after the first auditions. We will be trying different people in different roles in order to finalize the casting of the leads and minor characters. Auditioners invited to this stage will be asked to look at lines for specific roles. Being invited to this stage is not a guarantee that you will get the part you are reading for.
Chorus Callbacks- These will take place on the same night as the character callbacks. Everyone will be expected to learn, and preform, one chorus song with some basic choreography. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Dance Callbacks - These will be on a separate night from the first audition. You will be asked to learn and perform a taught choreography. Please come on time to give yourself as much time to learn the choreography as possible.
